My multi-award winning sketch comedy web series, Vegan 101 is featured in the book Internet Comedy Television Series 1997 – 2015 by Vincent Terrace, which is now available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
About the book:
Created around the world and available only on the web, Internet “television” series are independently produced, mostly low budget shows that often feature talented but unknown performers. Typically financed through crowd-funding, they are filmed with borrowed equipment and volunteer casts and crews, and viewers find them through word of mouth or by chance. The fourth in a series covering Internet TV, this book takes a comprehensive look at 1,121 comedy series produced exclusively for online audiences. Alphabetical entries provide websites, dates, casts, credits, episode lists and storylines.
About the author:
Vincent Terrace has worked as a researcher for ABC television and is the television historian for BPOLIN Productions (an independent film and television producing company for which he has created a projected television series called “April’s Dream”). He has written more than 30 books, many about television and radio
Vegan 101. 2009-2012.
People who have encompassed a vegan lifestyle but have taken it to extremes are satirized in short comedy skits wherein a group of actors portray different characters. Second season episodes focus on Dr. Eaton Wright, author of the book Miso Soup for the Soul (a survival guide on being a vegan) and his wife, Erica, who also co-host a TV show called Eating Right. While Eaton’s book extols the virtues of being a vegan and provides healty recipes, he has also created Vegano, a spray that instantly transforms anyone into a vegan. People who thrive on meaty foods but chose to use Vegano, are profiled to show how a healthier life can be achieved by becoming a vegan.

Comment: The first and third seasons play like an anthology with different stories and characters involved in a vegan lifestyle. The second season is fine tuned to focus on how one man sets out to change the way people live. Each episode is very well acted, produced and written and all in all an enjoyable program.
